There's a whole lot going on in Prince George's County this Fourth of July, and you won't want to miss out. Here are the top three fireworks destination in and around the Bowie area.
- City of Bowie fireworks. The city puts on an impressive fireworks display along with a free concert right at Prince George's Stadium on July 2. The celebration has been on hiatus since 2014, so you definitely won't want to skip its first revival in four years!
- Six Flags America fireworks. If you're looking for something to do the weekend of July 4, head over to Six Flags for the Independence Day celebration any time between June 30 and July 4. Celebrations take place from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and include roller coasters, tasty amusement park foods and fireworks every night at 9:15 p.m. in the Gotham City part of the park.
- University of Maryland. On the 4th of July itself, head over to the University of Maryland's celebration complete with live rock music and a fireworks display. Bring along your own lawn chairs and coolers, plus snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy while you watch the fireworks take off.
