Round Out the Summer at the Bowie Summer Concert Series

  |     |   Uncategorized

It is hard to believe that September is already upon us, but there is still plenty of warm summer weather left this year to enjoy. What better way than at an outdoor concert, especially when it’s free? Bowie Town Center’s Summer Concert Series is still going, and won’t end until September 29.

Every Saturday you can see a different artist in the food court lawn, and this year has already been packed with a variety of jazz, funk, and classic rock heavyweights. Upcoming acts include jazz artist Paula Atherton on September 8, the soulful Foundation Band on September 15, Gayle Harrod Band on September 22, and funk favorites The Clones of Funk on September 29. It is easy to make a day of it at the plaza by shopping at all your favorite stores, having a casual meal at your choice of restaurant, and taking in a free concert to cap off your night. The shows start at 6 p.m., and you’re free to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the entertainment.
