Whether you’re looking for fresh beef or fresh veggies, the Bowie Farmers’ Market has you covered. Every Sunday now through October 26th, the market takes over the Bowie High School’s parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon with a colorful array of fresh foods from local farmers, ranchers, and artisans.
Although the exact lineup of vendors changes a bit from week to week, you can always count on a broad variety of items. Pick up ripe fruits and vegetables from a nearby farm, or grab freshly crafted loaves of bread and treats from one of Bowie’s own talented bakers. Stock up on jams and jellies or homemade seasoning blends, or fill your freezer with fresh pork and beef to last you the entire grilling season. The market also stocks a few non-food items, ranging from handmade soaps to upcycled pieces of vintage furniture, so allow plenty of time to explore!
